fot2disk - dump a NFI FOT to disk
SYNOPSIS
DESCRIPTION
fot2disk is a script that dumps the contents of FOT data
delivered on tape to disk using a file naming convention compatible with
the module foting.
Is up to the user to have the FOT on a hard disk and run foting
using the parameters disk=yes indir=anydir or let the FOT on tape
and use foting with a command line of type
disk=no tapedev=anydevice.
fot2disk does NOT use a IRAF-style parameter interface and
parameters will be asked directly from the prompt.
The following parameters will be asked :
- Input device
- The device where the FOT data are supposed to be read from. Default is
the device specified during the configuration phase of the SAXDAS package.
- Output directory
- The output directory for FOT data. Default is the current directory.
- Instruments
- The instruments the user want to process separated or not by blanks.
Default is all, i.e. LE ME HP PD.
- Satellite HK files ?
- Process also satellite HK files. Default is no, since
foting does not use them at all.
