Selection region file syntax
The following rules are to be followed to write a spatial
region file which is suitable to be correctly interpreted by
XAS:
- the files are plain ASCII
- the coordinates are expressed in linearized pixels
- any lines define a selection region. Such a region is:
- included if the syntax COMMAND(parm1,parm2,...)
is used
- excluded if the syntax -COMMAND(parm1,parm2,...)
is used
- only the following commands are supported:
- BOX(xcenter,ycenter,xsize,ysize,xsideangle)
- CIRCLE(xcenter,ycenter,radius)
- ELLIPSE(xcenter,ycenter,minoraxissize,majoraxissize,angle)
- SECTOR(xcenter,ycenter,radius,angle1,angle2)
Angles are always measured counterclockwise from the X axis.
